Hon. Amber A. Kraft is a judge for the York County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. She was elected to the bench in November 2017.
Kraft received a bachelor’s degree from Franklin & Marshall College. She went on to complete a J.D. at Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson Law.
Prior to joining the bench, Kraft worked as a York private practice attorney for almost twenty years. During that time, her practice focused on civil and family law, including Orphans’ Court cases. In addition, she provided pro bono legal assistance in custody cases and custody workshops.
Her legal career also included working as a law clerk for judges on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and Court of Common Pleas in York and Cumberland counties. In the York County Court of Common Pleas, Kraft was a law clerk for the Hon. Harry M. Ness.
From a civic standpoint, she sat on the boards of Leg Up Farm and the West York Area School District Foundation.
Kraft is a native of York County.
She is registered as a Republican.
