The Hon. Charles D. Baker is a judge for the Crawford County District Court. He was elected to the bench on March 1, 2016, and re-elected in 2020.
Prior to his election, Baker was a partner at the Baker Law Firm, a law office he opened in 1998.
Baker earned a bachelor’s degree in law enforcement (1980) and a master’s degree in criminal justice (1982) from Northeast Louisiana University. He then completed a J.D. at the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1991.
After graduating from law school, Baker began his legal career as a deputy prosecuting attorney for the Sebastian County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. He served in that capacity until 1995, at which time he entered into private practice at the Bagby Law Firm.
