Hon. Christina Kime is an associate circuit judge for the 42nd Judicial Circuit Court of Missouri. She was appointed to the bench by Governor Mike Parson in 2018, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Randy Schuller (Ret.). Kime holds the distinction of being the first woman to sit as a judge in Wayne County.
The 42nd Judicial Circuit Court includes Crawford, Dent, Iron, Reynolds, and Wayne Counties.
Prior to her appointment, she was in private practice in Wayne County for over twenty-five years.
She received a B.A. in English from the School of the Ozarks. Kime went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Missouri School of Law in 1987. She sat on the staff of the Missouri Law Review and was a member of the Order of the Coif.
She was admitted to practice in Missouri (1987), the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri (1989), and the United States Claims Court (1987).
After graduating from law school, Kime began her legal career as a law clerk to the Hon. Robert Crist with the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District (1987 to 1989).
She is a past president of the Piedmont Rotary Club and was named a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. Kime was also named Rotarian of the Year.
She is a recipient of the Philip S. Huffman Memorial Award from the Legal Services of Southern Missouri.
Kime was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and attended Clearwater R-1 High School in Piedmont.
She is registered as a Democrat.
