The Hon. David E. Reich is a judge for the North Dakota South Central Judicial District. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor John Hoeven in 2006.
The South Central Judicial District includes Burleigh County, Emmons County, Grant County, McLean County, Mercer County, Morton County, Oliver County, Sioux County, and Sheridan County.
Reich earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Dakota in 1979. He then completed a J.D. at the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1982.
After graduating from law school, Reich began his legal career as a law clerk for the North Dakota Supreme Court. He worked in that capacity until 1983, at which time he entered into private practice in Bismarck.
His memberships have included Runners Against Destructive Decisions, a group he formed to help individuals recovering from addiction.
Born in Jamestown, North Dakota, Reich and his wife, Ann, have one child.
