The Hon. David T. Tunnell is an associate judge for the 30th Judicial Circuit Court of Missouri. He was elected to the bench on November 4, 2014, and re-elected in 2018.
The 30th Judicial Circuit is composed of Dallas County, Hickory County, Polk County, and Webster County.
Tunnell earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1997. He then completed a J.D. at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law in 2001.
After graduating from law school, Tunnell entered into private practice at Corbett Law Firm. He worked in that capacity until his election to the bench.
His memberships have included the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association, the Webster County Bar Association, and the Missouri Bar Association. He also sat on the Board of Directors of Web-Co Custom Industries (2002 to 2008).
Born in Springfield, Missouri, Tunnel attended Marshfield High School. He and his wife, Rebecca, have two children. They attend Cedar Gap Baptist Church in Seymour.
He is registered as a Republican.
