The Hon. David W. Lindemood is a judge for the 318th District Court of Texas in Midland County. He was elected to the bench in 2014.
Lindemood earned a B.S. in finance from Oklahoma State University in 1973. He then worked for Shell Oil Co. before completing a J.D. at the University of Tulsa College of Law (1979) and a master's degree from Southern Methodist University, Southwestern Graduate School of Banking (1983).
He is admitted to practice in Oklahoma (1979) and Texas (1980).
After graduating from law school, Lindemood began his legal career in the trust department at a bank in Midland before becoming an associate at Brockett & McNeel, LLP, where he specialized in divorce, probate and estate planning, and general civil litigation matters. Before taking the bench seat, he was of counsel for the firm. Lindemood is also a certified mediator with over ten years of experience.
He has served as a member of the State Bar of Texas, including its Family Law Section and its Judicial Section. Lindemood is also a member of the Midland County Bar Association and a fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.
He resided in Midland, Texas, with his family until the age of nine. At that time, they were transferred to Oklahoma for a job with an oil company.
Lindemood is registered as a Republican.
