The Hon. Erica Dominguez is a judge for the Bexar County Court at Law No. 6 in Texas. She was elected to the bench on November 8, 2022.
Prior to her election, Dominguez was an assistant public defender with the Bexar County Public Defender’s Office, a position to which she was named in 2015.
Dominguez earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2011. She then completed a J.D. at Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law, in 2014. As a law student, she volunteered at the Michael DeBakey VA Hospital, where she assisted veterans with probate, consumer, and tenant matters.
A first generation Mexican-American, Dominguez was born and raised in San Antonio, attending St. Margaret Mary Catholic School, St. Gerard Catholic High School, and McCollum High School. She is a veteran of the United States Air Force, having spent eight years as a 2W1-Weapons Loader. Dominguez was deployed twice, supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
She is registered as a Democrat.
