Hon. H. Mark Preyer (Ret.) was an associate circuit judge for the 35th Judicial Circuit Court of Missouri. He was elected to the bench in 2010. Preyer retired in 2022.
The 35th Judicial Circuit Court includes Dunklin and Stoddard Counties.
Prior to his election, Preyer was in private practice in Kennett since 1983.
He received a B.S. in agricultural economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1980. Preyer went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Missouri School of Law in 1983. He was admitted to practice in Missouri (1983), the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri (1984), and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
Preyer sat on the Missouri Public Defender Commission and the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission. He was also involved with the Kennett Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club, and the Farmers and Merchants Club of Holcomb and Homerville.
Born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, he and his wife, Amy, have five children.
He is registered as a Democrat.
