Hon. Henry H. Boyce is a judge for the Woodruff County District Court in Arkansas. He was elected to the bench in 2020.
Boyce presides over the Augusta, McCrory, and Patterson Departments in Woodruff County, as well as the Jackson County District Court.
Prior to his election, he was the Prosecuting Attorney for the 3rd Judicial District, a position to which he was elected in 2002. Boyce also served as a City Attorney for the City of Newport, a position he began in 1999, and as the Public Defender in Jackson County.
He received a bachelor’s degree from Westminster College. Boyce went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1989. He was admitted to practice in Arkansas (1989), the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas.
After graduating from law school, Boyce began his legal career in private practice alongside his father, Sam Boyce.
He was vice president of the Arkansas Prosecuting Attorneys Association.
Boyce is a native of Newport, Arkansas. When not presiding over legal matters, he enjoys duck hunting and golf.
