The Hon. J.C. Argetsinger (Ret.) was a judge for the Schuyler County Court Multi-Bench in the Sixth Judicial District of New York. He joined the bench in 1998 and was retained in subsequent elections. He retired in 2011, upon reaching the age of mandatory retirement.
Argetsinger received a B.A. from Youngstown State University in 1963. He went on to earn a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1966.
He practiced law in Washington, D.C. for twenty-five years. After returning to Schuyler County, Argetsinger became the District Attorney there in 1993.
Argetsinger, whose family has deep roots in motorsports, was instrumental in helping to form the International Motor Racing Research Center at Watkins Glen International. He would later become the Center’s President in 2007. His father, Cameron, is also credited with organizing the Formula One Grand Prix of the United States at Watkins Glen in 1948.
