Hon. Joseph G. Fabrizio is a judge for the Fifty-Second District Court (Division Two) of Michigan in Oakland County. He was elected to the bench in November 2008.
During his judicial tenure, Fabrizio has served as Chief Judge of the court, having been appointed to the position in 2018. He has also managed both a criminal and civil docket and participates in specialty courts and diversionary programs, including the Sobriety Court and Teen Court.
Prior to his election, Fabrizio was a managing partner at Fabrizio & Brook, P.C., where he practiced alongside his father.
He received a B.S. from Michigan State University in 1996. Fabrizio went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Detroit, Mercy School of Law in 1999. While a law student, he served as a clerk for the Hon. Steven Andrews with the Oakland County Circuit Court.
He was admitted to practice in Michigan in 2000.
His memberships have included the Oakland County Bar Association, the Michigan District Judges Association, and the Oakland County District Judges Association (past president).
Fabrizio has been actively involved with mock trials and training programs for law students and local high school and elementary students.
His civic involvement has included the Clarkston Conservatory of Music and Clarkston SCAMP.
Fabrizio attended Brother Rice High School. A lifelong resident of Clarkston, he is married and has four children.
