The Hon. Kelly M. Greenough is a district judge for the Oklahoma Fourteenth Judicial District. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor Mary Fallin on January 8, 2016, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Carlos Chappelle (deceased).
Prior to her appointment, Greenough was the Director of the Tulsa County Domestic Violence Court, a position to which she was named in 2014. Before that, she spent time as an assistant public defender for the Tulsa County Office of the Public Defender, representing children in adoptions, guardianships, and high-conflict divorce and paternity cases (2007 to 2014).
Greenough earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and government from Oklahoma State University in 1985. She then completed a J.D. at the University of Tulsa College of Law in 1992.
After graduating from law school, Greenough began her legal career as an attorney for the Oklahoma State Insurance Fund. She served in that capacity until 1995, at which time she entered into private practice. She worked as an attorney at Rhodes, Hieronymus, Jones, Tucker & Gable (1995 to 2002) and of counsel at Perrine McGivern (2002 to 2007).
Greenough and her husband, Charles, have two children. Charles has worked as a partner at the McAfee & Taft Law Firm.
