Hon. Kimberly A. Campbell is a judge for the 6th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. She was elected to the bench in 2012.
The 6th Judicial Circuit encompasses Pasco County and Pinellas County. Campbell has held assignments in both counties.
Prior to her election, Campbell handled family law and criminal defense matters in private practice in Clearwater since 2003. During that time, she managed her own private practice and was an attorney in the Law Offices of Thomas Donnelly.
Before that, she spent two years as an assistant state attorney with the Office of the State Attorney for the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County (2001 to 2003). In addition, Campbell has taught as an adjunct faculty member at St. Petersburg College.
She received a B.S. in marketing from Milligan College (1997) and an M.B.A. from Stetson University. Campbell went on to complete a J.D. at Stetson University College of Law in 2000. As a law student, she studied at Concordia University in Estonia and traveled to St. Petersburg, Russia; Stockholm, Sweden; Finland; and Amsterdam.
She was admitted to practice in Florida (2001) and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
Campbell sat on the Board of Directors for Leadership Pinellas and was a president of the Clearwater Bar Association. She also served as a merit badge counselor for the Boy Scouts.
Campbell was born in Johnson City, Tennessee. She and her husband, a Pinellas County lieutenant, have one son. The family resides in Palm Harbor, Florida. When not presiding over legal matters, Campbell, who holds a black belt in martial arts, enjoys Krav Maga training and teaching women’s self-defense. She has competed in martial arts internationally in Argentina.
