The Hon. Lance P. Timbreza (Ret.) served as a judge for the 21st Judicial District Court of Colorado. Timbreza was appointed to the bench by former Governor John Hickenlooper on August 12, 2016, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. David A. Bottger. He resigned on September 15, 2022.
The 21st Judicial District encompasses Mesa County.
Timbreza earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Colorado Mesa University in 2002. He then completed a J.D. at Gonzaga University School of Law in 2005.
After graduating from law school, Timbreza entered into private practice. He started as an attorney at Traylor, Tompkins & Black. Then, in 2014, he joined the Daniels Law Group in Grand Junction.
His memberships have included the Mesa County Bar Association and the Colorado Bar Association. He has also been involved with the boards of the Mesa County Pro Bono Project and the Mesa County Access to Justice Project.
