Hon. Mark D. Leverett is a judge for the Pulaski County District Court in Arkansas.
Leverett presides over the Environmental Court in the Third Division of the Little Rock District Court.
Prior to joining the bench, his legal career included time as a partner and managing attorney for the Leverett & Watts Law Firm, a staff attorney for the Arkansas Department of Transportation, and a deputy prosecuting attorney with the Pulaski County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
Leverett received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Henderson State University. He went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law. He was admitted to practice in Arkansas in 1996.
He was vice chair of the Criminal Justice Coordinating Committee and a board member of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Foundation Fund, Positive Atmosphere Reaches Kids, and the Oscar Washington, Jr. Education Fund.
Leverett has served as an elder at Saint Mark Baptist.
