The Hon. Mark R. Johnson is a judge for the Lawrence County District Court and the Sharp County District Court in Arkansas. He was re-elected to the bench in 2020.
Johnson earned a bachelor’s degree in public administration from the University of Mississippi in 1979. He then completed a J.D. at the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1983.
His memberships have included the Arkansas Bar Association, the Tri-County Bar Association, the Quad Cities Rotary Club, and the Spring River Area Chamber of Commerce. He has also been involved with the Board of Directors of the Network of Community Options as well as the Cherokee Village Concerned Citizens Committee and Arkansas Legal Service.
He is a recipient of the Volunteer Attorney of the Year Award for Sharp and Fulton Counties and the State of Arkansas Outstanding Pro Bono Attorney Award for Senior Citizens.
Raised in Highland, Arkansas, Johnson attended Highland High School. He and his wife, Margretta, reside in Hardy.
