Hon. Milan C. Berry is an associate circuit judge for the 45th Judicial District Court of Missouri. He was elected to the bench in 2018.
The 45th Judicial Circuit Court includes Lincoln and Pike Counties.
Prior to his election, Berry spent ten years as a public defender with the Missouri State Public Defender System and was an attorney at Roberts Perryman (2013 to 2014). He has taught as an adjunct professor at St. Charles Community College.
Over the course of his legal career, he also spent four years as a stay-at-home dad in Switzerland while his wife, Kathleen, was on a foreign assignment.
He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri in 2000. Berry went on to complete a J.D. at the Washington University in St. Louis School of Law in 2003. He was admitted to practice in Missouri (2004) and Kansas (2005).
Berry has served as a basketball, soccer, and baseball coach.
He was born in Cortland, New York, and was raised in North St. Louis County. He attended Rosary High School. Berry funded his education by working as a truck driver and has since maintained his CDL and other certifications. When not presiding over legal matters, he enjoys driving a Peterbilt to Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Berry and his wife have four children. The family has hosted four German-speaking exchange students and are active members of St. Clement Catholic Church.
He is registered as a Republican.
