Hon. Richard E. Branam (Ret.) was a district judge for the Twenty-Fifth Judicial District in Oklahoma. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Brad Henry in 2006. Branam retired in 2012.
At the time of his appointment, he was presiding as an associate district judge for the Coal County District Court, a position he held for fifteen years.
He received a B.A. from East Central Oklahoma State University. Branam went on to complete a J.D. at Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1980. He was admitted to practice in Oklahoma in 1980.
Following his retirement, Branam has served as the presiding district judge for the Choctaw Nation District Court. He joined its bench in 2020.
