Hon. Ronald J. White is a circuit judge for the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Illinois in Winnebago County. He was elected to the bench in 2008.
The 17th Judicial Circuit includes Boone and Winnebago Counties.
White began his judicial career as an associate judge for the 17th Judicial Circuit Court, a position to which he was appointed in 1998. He remained in that capacity until being appointed circuit judge in 2008.
Before joining the bench, White was a former trial attorney and deputy state’s attorney. He also taught as an instructor at Rock Valley College and the Northwestern University Traffic Institute.
White received a B.S. from Illinois State University. He went on to complete a J.D. at Northern Illinois University College of Law.
He was admitted to practice in Illinois in 1979.
