The Hon. Sabrina L. Johnson is a judge for the 22nd District Court of Michigan. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor Rick Snyder on September 5, 2012, filling a vacancy created by the removal of the Hon. Sylvia James.
Johnson earned a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University in 1990. She then completed a J.D. at Wayne State University Law School in 1994.
After graduating from law school, Johnson began her legal career as an assistant prosecuting attorney for the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office. She served in that capacity until 2002, at which time she became the principal attorney in the Law Office of Sabrina Johnson. Then, in 2008, Johnson returned to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office.
Johnson was a resident of Inkster, Michigan, at the time of her appointment. She attended Inkster Cherry High School.
