The Hon. Sarah N. Lanier is a judge for the Randolph County District Court in North Carolina. She was elected to the bench on November 6, 2018.
Prior to her election, Lanier was an attorney in private practice, handling family law matters alongside her father.
Lanier earned a bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston. She then completed a J.D. at Elon University School of Law in 2010.
Born and raised in Asheboro, North Carolina, Lanier is the daughter of the Hon. William Neely, a former judge of the same community. Her husband, Captain Jeremy Lainer, has served with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.
