Hon. Sharon L. Hall (Ret.) was a judge for the 10th Judicial District Court of Minnesota. She was appointed to the bench on July 23, 1993. Hall retired on December 31, 2017, and was subsequently assigned to serve as a statewide senior judge on July 1, 2021.
The 10th Judicial District includes Anoka, Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Pine, Sherburne, Washington, and Wright Counties. She held assignments in Sherburne and Anoka Counties.
Prior to beginning her judicial career, Hall was an attorney with Barna, Guzy & Steffen, Ltd., where she had practiced since 1983. While at the firm, she served on the Board of Directors for one year (1992 to 1993). Hall also practiced at Filla & Whisnant (1981) and was a judicial law clerk.
She received a B.A. from the College of St. Benedict in 1976. Hall went on to complete a J.D. at Hamline University School of Law in 1979.
Her memberships included the Minnesota District Judges Association, the John E. Simonett American Inn of Court, the Anoka County Bar Association (past president), the 18th District Bar Association, the Minnesota State Bar Association, the National Association of Women Judges, and the Minnesota Women Lawyers.
Hall served as a member of the Statewide Early Neutral Evaluation Steering Committee and the Anoka County Early Neutral Evaluation Pilot Program Steering Committee. She was also on the Statewide Steering Committee for ICMC/ENE and served as a past president of the 10th Judicial District Board.
