Hon. Shelia Hill-Roberts is an assistant family court commissioner for the Milwaukee County Circuit Court in the First Judicial District of Wisconsin.
Prior to beginning her judicial tenure, Hill-Roberts was chief staff attorney in the Guardian ad Litem Division of the Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee, a position she held since 2007. She first joined the Division as a staff attorney in 1987.
Hill-Roberts received a B.S. in psychology from Howard University in 1982. She went on to complete a J.D. at Marquette University Law School in 1986. While a law student, Hill-Roberts was a member of the African American Law Students Association.
She was admitted to practice in Wisconsin in 1987.
Her memberships have included the State Bar of Wisconsin Children and the Law Section and its Legal Assistance Committee. Hill-Roberts also sat as a member of the Milwaukee County Family Drug Court Steering Committee.
She has been involved with the Young Milwaukeeans and the National Association of Counsel for Children.
