The Hon. Solomon J. Casseb, III (Ret.) served as a judge for the 288th (Civil) District Court in Bexar County, Texas. Casseb was appointed to the bench by former Governor Rick Perry in 2008, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Lori Massey. He retired from the bench on December 31, 2018.
Casseb earned a B.A. in political science from St. Mary’s University in 1970. Then, in 1973, he completed a J.D. at the University of Texas at Austin School of Law.
After graduating from law school, Casseb entered into private practice. He worked as an attorney at Goldstein & Semaan (1973 to 1977) as well as Casseb & Pearl (1978 to 2008).
His memberships have included the State Bar Grievance Committee, the State Bar Admissions Committee, the San Antonio Bar Association Fee Dispute Committee, the State Bar Local Bar Services Committee, the Family Law Council ADR Committee, and the South Texas Collaborative Family Lawyers Association.
