The Hon. Susan Lori Fisch (Ret.) served as a judge for the Jefferson County Court in Colorado. Fisch was appointed to the bench by former Governor Bill Ritter in 2008. She retired on June 30, 2019.
Prior to her appointment, Fisch was an assistant federal public defender in the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the District of Colorado, a position to which she was named in 2005. Before that, she spent time as a deputy state public defender for the Colorado Public Defender’s Office, where she handled all levels and types of cases (1987 to 2005).
Fisch earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Denver in 1984. She then completed a J.D. at the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law in 1987.
Her memberships have included Colorado Supreme Court Criminal Rules Committee. She has also been involved with the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.
