The Hon. Wayne M. Creech is a judge for the 9th Judicial Circuit Family Court of South Carolina. He was elected to the bench by the South Carolina General Assembly in 1988.
The 9th Circuit includes Berkeley and Charleston Counties.
Prior to his election, Creech spent the bulk of his legal career in private practice, including managing his own private practice since 1987. Before establishing his law firm, he was a co-founder of Watson & Creech, which later became Watson, Creech, Tiencken & West (1981 to 1987), and was an attorney at Dennis & Dennis (1977 to 1981) and an associate for H. Norman West, Sr. (1976 to 1977). Creech also served as town attorney for the Town of Moncks Corner (1981 to 1987).
He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina in 1973. Creech then completed a J.D. at the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1976. He was a member of the Order of Wig and Robe.
His memberships include the South Carolina Bar and the Berkeley County Bar Association.
Creech was born and raised in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, where he continues to serve as a community leader and member of Freedom Chruch of Moncks Corner. He and his wife, Annette, have four children and three grandchildren.
