Hon. William D. Cramer, Jr. (Ret.) was a judge for the 24th Judicial District Circuit Court of Oregon. He joined the bench in 1996. Cramer retired on December 31, 2019, subsequently becoming a senior judge.
The 24th Judicial District includes both Grant and Harney Counties.
Prior to beginning his judicial career, Cramer was a partner at Cramer & Pinkerton (1981 to 1996). He also presided as a judge pro tem for the 4th Judicial District Circuit Court in Multnomah County (1996), a justice of the peace for the Burns District (1995 to 1996), and a juvenile judge pro tem (1994 to 1996).
Cramer received an A.B. in American history from Harvard College in 1978. He went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Oregon School of Law in 1981.
Cramer served on the Oregon State Bar Aviation Section’s Executive Committee, the Oregon Circuit Judges Association Executive Committee, and the Chief Justice’s Executive Committee.
He attended Burns Union High School. His father was also an attorney, having practiced for over fifty years.
