This is a case brought under the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, N.J.S.A 10:5-1

et seq., and the New Jersey Conscientious Employee Protection Act, N.J.S.A. 34:19-1 et. seq.

(“CEPA”). For more than a decade, Plaintiff Kori operated Defendant Progressive and Defendant

Accurate alongside Defendant Rovner, an orthopedic surgeon and principal of Defendants

Progressive and Accurate. Although Plaintiff Kori was vital to the growth and success of both

businesses, she was unlawfully terminated after she repeatedly complained of blatant fraud and

sexual harassment in the workplace. For one, Plaintiff Kori repeatedly objected to Defendant

Rovner’s fraudulent scheme to divert and embezzle corporate monies from his business partners.

For another, Defendant Long created a sexually hostile work environment toward numerous

female employees—including Plaintiff Kori.

Despite complaint after complaint by female employees, including Kori, Defendant Rovner

refused to discipline Defendant Long and otherwise ignored Plaintiff Kori’s efforts to stop the

rampant sexual harassment. Rather than remediate the sexual harassment and fraud, Defendant

Rovner committed numerous acts of retaliation and adverse employment actions against Plaintiff

Kori. The retaliation culminated in Plaintiff Kori’s sudden and wrongful termination on or about

March 2, 2023. Almost immediately after Plaintiff Kori filed this lawsuit, Defendants placed

Plaintiff Kori’s mother and patient care coordinator for Defendant Progressive, Plaintiff Rose Ann,

on an unpaid suspension for nearly three consecutive weeks in direct retaliation for Plaintiff Kori’s

lawsuit due to their familial relationship. Plaintiffs thus seek redress for the numerous acts of
