MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE OPENING BRIEF
TREMAYNE DIXON, the Defendant-Appellant herein, respectfully requests
that this Court grant an extension of time from September 16, 2021, to September 30,
2021, within which to file the Opening Brief in this matter. As grounds for this request,
the Defendant-Appellant states as follows:
1. Counsel for Petitioner has been busily engaged in other cases and matters,
including:
Trial on September 1, 2021, full days of docket on 8/27, 8/30, 8/31, 9/8, 9/10, 9/13,
and 9/14. Further, with the exception of this appeal, counsel is in the process of
transferring his cases to another attorney at the public defender.
2. No previous extension of time for filing the Opening Brief has been
requested.
3. On September 14, 2021, Counsel conferred with Victoria Cisneros with
the Denver District attorney about this request. Ms. Cisneros indicated there was no
objection to an extension.
