TENTATIVE RULINGS
8. Nwana Mayer
v.
CIV882222309
Motion for Leave to Amend
Tentative Ruling:
Denied without prejudice to re-file.
Plaintiff seeks to amend her complaint, but the particulars of the desired amendment
are unclear. Plaintiff does not include a copy of the proposed amendment as required. Nor
does she comply with the other procedural requirements set forth in California Rules of Court,
rule 3.1324. While leave to amend is liberally granted, especially early in the litigation as in
this case, the motion must comply with the procedural requirements. The motion is therefore
denied, but without prejudice to re-file a procedurally correct motion, including proper service
on the defendant.
