COMPLAINT
NOW COMES the Plaintiff ELISA RAMIREZ, by her attorneys BARBER LAW
OFFICES, LLC and for her Complaint against the Defendant MARIIA STIZHAK states as
follows:
1. On February 16, 2022, the Plaintiff was operating her 2011 Honda Accord and
traveling northbound on Arlington Heights Road approaching Landmeier Road in Elk Grove
Village, Cook County, Illinois.
2. On February 16, 2022, the Defendant was operating her 2011 Audi A5 and was
traveling southbound on Arlington Heights Road approaching the intersection of Landmeier Road,
in Elk Grove Village, Cook County, Illinois.
3. At all times relevant hereto, the Defendant had a duty to exercise reasonable care
in the operation of her motor vehicle.
4. On February 16, 2022, the Defendant breached her duty of care in one or more of
the following respects:
A. Attempted to make a left hand turn onto Landmeier Road when it was unsafe to do
so.
B. Failed to yield the right-of-way to the plaintiff.

C. Failed to reduce the speed of her vehicle to avoid the collision with the Plaintiff.
5. As a result of one or more of the foregoing acts of negligence the Defendant’s

vehicle collided with the Plaintiff’s vehicle and the Plaintiff suffered and will continue to suffer
bodily injuries and pecuniary damages.
WHEREFORE, the Plaintiff, ELISA RAMIREZ, prays for judgment in her favor and
against the Defendant MARIIA STIZHAK in an amount in excess of Thirty-thousand dollars
($30,000.00) plus costs and for other relief as the court deems just.
