Plaintiff filed her initial Complaint on November 3, 2023. 2. Defendants, THE FIRST ACADEMY, INC. and THE FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF ORLANDO, INC., filed a Motion to Compel Binding Arbitration and Stay Proceedings and Notice of Objection to Plaintiff’s First Set of Interrogatories and First Request for Production on January 8, 2024. 3. Pursuant to the Standing Case Management Plan and Order, the deadline to schedule a hearing regarding any objection to the initial pleadings is within sixty (60) days of the filing of the motion or objection or it will be deemed abandoned or denied. 5. The parties currently have until March 8, 2024, to have Defendants’ motion and objections scheduled and heard. 6. The parties held a meet and confer to discuss Defendants’ Motion to Compel Arbitration and Stay Proceedings and Notice of Objection to Plaintiff’s First Set of Interrogatories and First Request for Production on February 9, 2024. 7. Plaintiff has not filed any response in opposition to Defendants’ motion. 8. Defendants respectfully requests an additional ninety (90) days for a hearing on Defendants’ Motion to Compel Binding Arbitration and Stay Proceedings and Notice of Objection to Plaintiff’s Frist Set of Interrogatories and First Request for Production to be scheduled and heard. 9. No party will be prejudiced by the requested extension. WHEREFORE, the undersigned respectfully requests this Honorable Court extend the deadline for a hearing on Defendants’ Motion to Compel Binding Arbitration and Stay Proceedings and Notice of Objection to Plaintiff’s First Set of Interrogatories and First Request for Production to be scheduled and heard, and for such other relief as this Court deems appropriate.
