The Hon. Adam M. Dill is an associate judge for the 6th Judicial Circuit Court of Illinois. He was appointed to the bench by the judges of the 6th Judicial Circuit on July 10, 2017, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Holly Clemons.
The Sixth Judicial Circuit includes Champaign County, DeWitt County, Douglas County, Macon County, Moultrie County, and Piatt County.
Prior to his appointment, Dill was a partner at Erwin, Martinkus & Cole, a law firm located in Champaign. He handled a variety of cases, including criminal, personal injury, business litigation, and family law. Before that, he spent time as an assistant state’s attorney for the Champaign County State’s Attorney’s Office (2002 to 2012).
Dill earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from DePauw University in 1999. He then completed a J.D. at DePaul University College of Law in 2002. As a law student, Dill interned with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office and the Illinois Office of the Attorney General.
Raised in Champaign County, Dill attended Centennial High School, where he played baseball. He and his wife, Anne, have three children.
