The Hon. Adam Strong is a magistrate for the 4th Judicial District Magistrate Division of Idaho. He was appointed to the bench by the District Magistrate Commission of the 4th Judicial District in 2023, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Roger Cockerille.
The 4th Judicial District includes Ada, Boise, Elmore, and Valley Counties. Strong has held an assignment in Boise County, where he handles all magistrate duties, including juvenile, criminal, civil, family law, and small claims cases.
Prior to his appointment, he was the Prosecuting Attorney for the Boise County Prosecutor’s Office since 2018. Before that, Strong was a deputy city attorney for the City of Boise (2016 to 2018) and an assistant prosecutor with the Power County Prosecutor’s Office (2015).
He received a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in 2006. Strong then completed a J.D. at Brigham Young University, J. Reuben Clark Law School in 2013.
A sixth-generation Idaho resident, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and children.
