The Hon. Amanda Faber is a district magistrate for the 9th Judicial District Court of Kansas. She was appointed to the bench by the 9th Judicial District Judicial Nominating Commission in 2023, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Ellen Neufeld.
The 9th Judicial District includes Harvey and McPherson Counties.
Prior to her appointment, Faber was the chief deputy county attorney for McPherson County since 2019. Before that, she was a prosecutor with the Butler County Attorney’s Office (2016 to 2019), where she began her legal career.
Faber received a bachelor’s degree at Tabor College in 2012. She then completed a J.D. at the University of Kansas School of Law in 2016.
A resident of Hillsboro, Kansas, Faber attended Hillsboro High School. She and her husband, Charlie, have one son.
