Hon. Andrew C. Gill is a judge for the 6th Judicial Circuit Court of Arkansas. He was elected to the bench in 2020.
The 6th Judicial Circuit includes Perry and Pulaski Counties.
Gill previously sat as a judge for the Perry County District Court, having joined its bench in 2012. During that same time, he managed his own private practice, the Law Office of Andrew C. Gill, PLLC. Before opening his firm, Gill had worked as a deputy prosecutor with the Saline County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office since 2005.
He received a B.A. in religion and philosophy from Lyon College in 1997. Gill then spent three years as a mental health case manager at the State Hospital (1999 to 2002) before completing a J.D. at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law in 2005.
He served as chair of the Criminal Law Section of the Arkansas Bar Association and a member of the Board of Directors and Education Committee for the Arkansas District Judges Association. Gill also served on the board of the Arkansas Drug Court Professionals Association. In addition, he has volunteered for the Partners for Progress food bank and the Story Book Project and was a volunteer attorney at the Center for Arkansas Legal Services.
Gill was also a past chapter president of the Lions Club and a former chair of the Chamber of Commerce.
He was named Drug Court Lawyer of the Year by the Arkansas Drug Court Professionals Association in 2018 and was part of a team that helped establish the first H.O.P.E. (Honest Opportunity Probation with Enforcement) Court in Saline County.
