Biography

The Hon. Bethany G. Arnold is an associate judge for the 247th District Court of Texas in Harris County. She was appointed to the bench in 2018.


On the bench, Arnold presides over the Family Court.


She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Houston. Arnold spent the next two years working as a political consultant in Houston. Then, in 2010, she completed a J.D. at the University of Houston Law Center.


She began her legal career as a law clerk at Connolly & Shireman. After graduating from law school, she was hired by the firm to work as an associate. She held this position until her appointment to the bench, specializing in complex divorce and child custody cases.


Arnold has served as a volunteer with Big Brothers and Big Sisters as well as an officer for the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund.


She was born and raised in Houston, Texas.
