The Hon. Christian Johnson is a judge for Division XV of the Shelby County General Sessions Court in Tennessee. He was elected to the bench in 2022.
Prior to his election, Johnson spent the bulk of his legal career in private practice, including a handful of years at his own law firm (2016 to 2018; 2020 to 2022).
He earned an associate’s degree in paralegal studies from Southwest Tennessee Community College (2007) and a bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies from the University of Memphis (2009). Johnson then worked for the next several years as a paralegal at the Arthur Ray Law Offices (2006 to 2007) and the Law Office of Bo Luxman (2008 to 2013) before completing a J.D. at the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, in 2013.
He served as a diesel mechanic in the United States Marine Corps (1992 to 1998), holding the rank of Corporal.
