The Hon. Christy E. Wilhelm is a judge for the Cabarrus County District Court in the 19A Judicial District of North Carolina. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor Pat McCrory in 2014, filling the vacancy created by the elevation of the Hon. Martin B. McGee to the Cabarrus Superior Court.
Wilhelm was appointed Chief District Court Judge in Cabarrus County by Chief Justice Mark Martin in 2018.
Prior to her appointment, she was a partner at Harsell & Williams, P.A. Wilhelm also served as a law clerk and research assistant for the Hon. John C. Martin and the Hon. Sidney S. Eagles, Jr. with the North Carolina Court of Appeals.
She received a bachelor’s degree from Duke University. Wilhelm then completed a J.D. at Campbell University, Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, in 2002.
