Hon. Cindy Dang (Ret.) was a judge for the Adams County Court in Colorado. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor John Hickenlooper on June 9, 2016, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Robert S. Doyle (Ret.). Dang resigned on June 25, 2022.
During her judicial tenure, she heard a criminal docket. Prior to her appointment, Dang presided as a district court magistrate for the 17th Judicial District Court since 2013.
Before that, she handled domestic, criminal, juvenile, and immigration matters as a private practice attorney, as well as acted as a Guardian ad Litem and Child and Family Investigator. Her legal career also includes a stint as a deputy district attorney with the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office in El Paso County.
Dang received a B.A. in political science from the University of California, Irvine in 1994. She went on to complete a J.D. at California Western School of Law in 1996.
Dang is a past president of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Colorado and chaired the American Immigration Lawyers Association of Colorado. She also served as a board member of the Colorado Women’s Bar Association.
Dang is a graduate of the Colorado Bar Association Leadership Training Program (2008).
