Hon. Danny S. Shepard is a judge for the Miller County State Court in Georgia. He joined the bench on September 9, 2004.
In addition, Shepard has also presided as a municipal judge for the City of Colquitt since 1980.
Along with his judicial positions, he has maintained his own private solo practice since 1999. As such, Shepard handles real estate law, probate and estate administration, business and commercial law, estate planning, and personal injury and wrongful death matters in both Colquitt and Blakely.
He received a B.A. from Mercer University in 1975. Shepard went on to complete a J.D. at Mercer University, Walter F. George School of Law in 1978.
He was admitted to practice in Georgia, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the Supreme Court of Georgia, and the Court of Appeals of Georgia.
From a civic standpoint, Shepard has been involved with Ameris Bank (Colquitt Board of Directors) and the Blakely-Early County Chamber of Commerce.
Shepard, who was born in Colquitt, Georgia, has two children. He is a graduate of Miller County High School (1971).
