The Hon. David D. Manweiler is a magistrate for the 4th Judicial District Magistrate Division of Idaho. He was appointed to the bench by the District Magistrate Commission of the 4th Judicial District in February 2006
The 4th Judicial District includes Ada, Boise, Elmore, and Valley Counties.
Manweiler has held an assignment in Ada County, including serving as the senior judge for the Juvenile Court.
Prior to his appointment, he spent twenty years in private practice (1986 to 2006), focusing on litigation of criminal and personal injury cases in state and federal courts. Manweiler also taught as an adjunct professor at Boise State University and an adjunct instructor at the University of Idaho College of Law.
He received a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Manweiler then completed a J.D. at the University of Idaho College of Law.
He is retired from the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps, holding the rank of Major.
