Hon. David H. McCormick is a judge for the 15th Judicial Circuit Court of Arkansas. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Mike Huckabee in 2002.
The 15th Judicial Circuit includes Conway, Logan, Scott, and Yell Counties.
Prior to his appointment, McCormick presided as a judge for the Yell County District Court. He also served as a judge for the City of London and the City Attorney for Dover, Dardanelle, and Ola.
In addition, McCormick served as a deputy prosecuting attorney (1986 to 1988) and a juvenile referee in Yell County (1980 to 1984).
He received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from the University of Central Arkansas. McCormick went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1979. He was admitted to practice in Arkansas (1979) and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas (1979).
McCormick attended Danville High School. At the time of his appointment, he resided in Dardanelle, Arkansas, with his wife Cheryl. The couple has two children.
