The Hon. David S. Glickler (Ret.) served as a judge for the Hays County Court at Law No. 2 in Texas. Glickler was elected to the bench in 2014 and retired in 2018. He currently works as a certified mediator at John A. Hall & Associates.
Over the course of his judicial career, Glickler presided over the Hays County Veterans Treatment Court.
Glickler earned a B.A. in political science, history, and English from Rutgers University in 1990. Then, in 1993, he completed a J.D. at Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law. He is Board Certified in Criminal Law and Juvenile Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
After graduating from law school, Glickler began his legal career as a law clerk for the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals in 1993. Two years later, he concluded his clerkship and joined the Williamson County Attorney's Office. He served as an assistant county attorney until 2001. At that time, he moved to the Office of the Texas Attorney General. He started as an assistant attorney general in the Special Crimes Division, rising through the ranks to become Deputy Division Chief of the White Collar Crime and Public Integrity Section of the Criminal Prosecutions Division.
When not practicing law, Glickler enjoys concerts, watching sports, and traveling. He also has an interest in reading presidential biographies.
