The Hon. Deborah Daniels (Ret.) served as an associate judge for the 13th Judicial Circuit Court of Missouri. Daniels was elected to the bench on November 7, 2006, and re-elected in 2010 and 2014. She retired on February 28, 2018.
The 13th Judicial Circuit is composed of Boone County and Callaway County.
Daniels earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1972. She then completed a J.D. at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law in 1977.
After graduating from law school, Daniels began her legal career as a law clerk to the Hon. Fred Henley of the Missouri Supreme Court. Later, she became its Director of Research. Daniels also spent time as an assistant prosecuting attorney for the Boone County Prosecutor’s Office as well as Chief Counsel for the Criminal Division of the Missouri Office of the Attorney General.
Her memberships have included the Women’s Lawyers Association of Mid-Missouri, the Boone County Bar Association, and the American Bar Foundation. She has also been involved with the Missouri Supreme Court Committee on Procedure in Criminal Cases, the ASTAR Trial Judge Committee, and the Court Automation Committee.
