The Hon. Dudley N. Anderson (Ret.) is a senior judge for the Lycoming County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. Anderson was elected to the bench on November 4, 1997. He retired on December 31, 2017.
Anderson earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Lycoming College in 1968. He spent the next two years with the United States Army in Vietnam before joining the United States Department of Labor as a revenue agent and unemployment compensation referee. Then, in 1975, he completed a J.D. at Widener University Delaware Law School.
After graduating from law school, Anderson entered into private practice as an associate at the Law Firm of Robert J. Wollet. He served in that capacity until 1979, at which time he became a partner at Wollet & Anderson. Anderson eventually became a senior partner at Anderson & Mathers.
His memberships have included the Williamsport City Council. He also sat on the Ethics Committee for the Pennsylvania Conference of Trial Judges.
Anderson was born in Wilmington, Delaware.
