The Hon. Elisabeth M. Mullins is a judge for the 28th District Court of Michigan. She was elected to the bench on November 3, 2020.
Prior to her election, Mullins was assistant corporation counsel for the City of Detroit Law Department, a position to which she was named in 2014. She supplemented her service by working as a special assistant prosecuting attorney for the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office.
Mullins earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Boston College in 2003. She then completed a J.D. at Suffolk University Law School in 2008.
After graduating from law school, Mullins entered into private practice, working as a sole practitioner in her own private practice. Then, in 2011, she joined Foley & Robinette in Southgate, where she spent the next three years. She handled criminal defense, landlord tenant, consumer protection, and bankruptcy matters.
Her memberships have included the Downriver Families Against Narcotics, the Downriver for Veterans, the Southgate Rotary Club, the Southgate Education Foundation, the Soroptimist International, the UAW Local 2211, and the Public Attorneys Association.
Mullins resides in Southgate with her husband, Donald, and their three children. She attends St. Pius X Church.
