Hon. Frank L. Racek (Ret.) was a judge for the East Central Judicial District of North Dakota. He was elected to the bench in 1994.
The East Central Judicial District includes Cass, Steele, and Traill Counties.
During his judicial tenure, Racek served as Presiding Judge for the East Central Judicial District. He first joined the bench as a county court judge in 1988 before the county and district courts were consolidated.
Prior to beginning his judicial career, Racek was in private practice in Fargo for six years (1982 to 1988).
He received a B.A. from St. John’s University in 1979. Racek went on to complete a J.D. at the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1982.
He was admitted to practice in North Dakota (1982), the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit (1983), and Minnesota (1981).
