The Hon. Fredrick A. Rowlett is a judge for the 28th Judicial Circuit Court of Virginia.
The 28th Judicial Circuit includes the City of Bristol and Smyth and Washington Counties.
Prior to joining the bench, Rowlett was a partner at Tate, Lowe & Rowlett, where he handled real estate, commercial law, and workers’ compensation matters. Early in his legal career, he completed a clerkship for the Hon. Glen M. Williams with the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia.
Rowlett earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee. He then completed a J.D. at the University of Virginia School of Law in 1985.
His memberships include the Washington County Bar Association, the Virginia State Bar, the American Bar Association, and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association.
Rowlett was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky.
