Hon. G. Wayne Olmstead (Ret.) was an associate district judge for the Harper County District Court (District 1) in Oklahoma. He joined the bench in 2002. Olmstead resigned from the bench amid allegations of violating the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act in 2012.
During his tenure on the bench, Olmstead was accused of downloading obscene videos on his state computer. After initially facing nineteen felony counts and an indictment by the state’s grand jury, he ultimately reached a plea agreement, pleading no contest to the felony charge of violating the state’s Computer Crimes Act. The original case was subsequently dismissed and Olmstead resigned as part of the plea agreement.
